IEE created the Green MBA program, the first in the nation to teach business practices devoted to achieving environmental and social sustainability while maintaining a solid financial bottom line. Over a five-year period, Green MBA grew from a part-time faculty of 3 and a handful of intrepid students to a faculty of 20 and a student body of 120.
Since moving to the David Brower Center in 2009, we have engaged new ways to promote activities which further development of the Triple Bottom Line. We created and manage the Sustainable Enterprise Cluster, where private and nonprofit sustainability practitioners and researchers share resources, ideas and networks. We are also pleased that IEE Executive Director Ed Church accepted an invitation to judge the Stanford University (BASES) Social E-Challenge, a social venture competition held annually.
