Leah Dockstader assists with administration of the Sustainable Enterprise Cluster space, which involves event coordination, technical support, and community building. Leah comes from an interdisciplinary background in environmental education, project management, and community outreach. She received a BA in Sustainable Development and Environmental Justice from the University of California, at Berkeley. Her thesis analyzed the adaptive capacity of a region in Northeast Brazil facing severe climate changes, and proposed multi-level partnerships to foster resilience. She also studied International Development and Political Science at the University of Belgrano, in Argentina.
While at UC Berkeley, Leah began serving as an environmental educator at Anneliese’s Schools and then visited classrooms around the East Bay. After graduating, she ran a Rising Sun Energy Center’s youth empowerment and conservation program in Union City and crafted their city-wide marketing campaign. Leah then directed and led programming for Bay Area Green Tours which featured leaders across various sectors of Sustainability, such as food justice, green building, renewable energy, waste, and water. Throughout this work, Leah has led efforts in refining organizational development and engaging in strategic thinking. She also serves as a contractor for administrative assistance and event management, with clients such as Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Pure Water, and Global Inheritance.
