Steve Hicks’ career includes eighteen years as a municipal investment banker spent working on behalf of California municipalities, agencies and special districts. During that time, he was the lead banker underwriting more than US$10 billion in taxable and tax-exempt securities. More recently, Hicks has worked in venture finance, as an investor and as an entrepreneur, with duties ranging from marketing to business development, strategy design and implementation, human resources, governance, and of course, finance and executive control. He served for over eight years as a Trustee of the East Bay Community Foundation, including serving on the advisory committee for the Foundation’s Livable Communities Initiative.

 

Hicks is a graduate of the University of California and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
